Description Fallen Heroes is a historical work with elaborate information on multiple plane crashes in Epe, the Netherlands. Epe was located behind one of Germany’s defense lines and their anti aircraft guns and fighter planes made aircrafts drop from the sky like burning torches. All the information in the books has been gathered with care. Gerrit Kamphuis has used national archives, eye witnesses and family members in England, United States and Germany. Several others have also provided their own extensive research. After 20 years of Gerrit’s research daughter Silvie reconstructed the stories and facts into a true adventure book, in which you get to know the brave men inside the aircrafts and learn about their life story, their final hours or how they managed to survive. Fallen Heroes is divided into 11 volumes with touching stories, photo’s of crew members and their machinery and declassified documents such as flying routes and police reports.
